Aware began with a familiar frustration: “I just see it finished.” By the time the balance looked low, the useful picture was already too late.
Why Aware exists
MTN MoMo and Airtel Money make it easy to send, receive, and pay. But each transaction becomes another message in an inbox that was never designed to show how the month is going. Withdraw cash, and even that trail disappears.
Aware captures mobile-money activity automatically and helps account for cash. Spending, balances, fees, budgets and patterns stay visible while there is still time to adjust.
Why local-first?
Aware processes supported transaction messages on your phone and stores the ledger there by default. Raw SMS is not uploaded and personal conversations are not used.
If you enable cloud backup, processed financial records sync to Aware’s Supabase database under your authenticated account. Raw SMS is excluded. Google may be used to sign you in, but it does not receive your financial records.
